Lock, Slash, and Load: Rebel Engine Showcases Frenetic Combo Shooter at Steam Next Fest and Confirms Official Launch November 6, 2025
Los Angeles, CA – October 13th, 2025 – Argentinian indie developer Seven Leaf Clover, in partnership with Snail Games, is proud to reveal that its hyperkinetic first-person action adventure Rebel Engine will launch on Steam November 6th. You can get a taste of its automaton anarchy in the playable demo during Steam Next Fest running through October 20th at 10am PDT.
Rebel Engine fuses the stylish combat of a hack-n'-slash with the lightning speed and bombastic gunplay of a '90s FPS into a wholly unique, fast-paced action extravaganza. Take control of Asimov, an old robot armed with a giant loading claw, a deadly arsenal of weapons and endless rage as he leads a rebellion against the Concrete megacorporation to liberate all robot-kind!
Beyond the story campaign, Rebel Engine hosts an Arena Mode where you fight against increasingly challenging hordes of enemies. Boost your score with intricate combos and combat prowess to ascend the ranks of the global leaderboard, and compete against your friends for the best highscore!
This Next Fest demo also debuts the collaboration between Seven Leaf Clover and hololive English Promise VTuber Hakos Baelz, who is a featured artist in an original in-game soundtrack for Rebel Engine. Her high-energy track sets the pace for the action during the game's explosive boss fight.

Rebel Engine's combat system features:
A dynamic weapon arsenal - each gun launches enemies in different directions, combine them to perform stylish combos!
Non-stop gun action - recover ammo by switching weapons and never stop shooting.
Multiple melee movesets - switch between your claw, kicks, sword, chainsaw and whip to mess up the opposition from up close.
Your enemy is your weapon - grab any enemy with your loading claw to use their own guns, and then throw them against each other with great force.
Combo-fueled finishers - long and flashy combos allow you to use powerful finishers, like giant lasers and burning plasma explosions!
