Hordes of Hunger's Free Update Brings New Arena, Boss and Weapon Variants
Leamington Spa, UK - Sep 25, 2025: Leading UK publisher Kwalee and acclaimed Polish developer Hyperstrange are excited to announce the launch of a new free update for Hordes of Hunger, the thrilling 3D action survivors-like game.
As part of our Reaper Update we are introducing a new arena called Temple, set on the highest point of the cliffs. Once a temple of the old god, it has now been overtaken by the cult of the Beast. Cut off from food by the lord of the city, the people have fallen into desperation and madness, turning to worship the sea itself.
Players can take on new story quests in this arena and face a powerful new boss: The Beast. This new boss has emerged from the water, bringing with it a darkness that poisoned the crops and plunged the entire land into catastrophe.
The update also introduces new weapon variants: Enchanted, Flawless, Godly, Jinxed, Kings, Massive, and Spellbound. Players can use these variants as each comes with a unique effect powering weapons to defeat the horde. Hordes of Hunger's gameplay mechanics also get an update along with various bug fixes ensuring the best experience for players.

The monsters are unrelenting, but so are you. Gain destructive and defensive abilities with each level-up to become a finely tuned force to be reckoned with. Strike down swarms with sword aflame, call down lightning as you land, and defy death with divine contracts.
Uncover the Truth
A father racked with guilt. A prisoner who shuns freedom. A mother covered in blood. Mirah may be the only one who can save her home, but she's not alone. Complete missions in each run to save others from the invasion and discover the true nature of the curse that plagues Mirah's homeland.
