Coatsink Appoints Richard Snowdon as CEO Following Co-Founders' Departure
Gateshead, United Kingdom - August 14th, 2025 - Coatsink has announced the appointment of Richard Snowdon as its incoming Chief Executive Officer, following the departures of its founders Tom Beardsmore, Paul Crabb, and Eddie Beardsmore who will be leaving the studio before the end of the year.
Richard Snowdon, a decade-long Coatsink veteran and most recently Head of Studio, has been instrumental in shaping the company's strategy and operations. With a deep understanding of its creative vision and business, he aims to build on the founders' legacy and lead the studio into its next chapter. Richard Snowdon will take over as Chief Executive Officer in October.

Founded in 2009, Coatsink is a developer and publisher, now part of the Thunderful Group. The studio has created and published critically acclaimed and award-winning games packed with offbeat humor and bags of character for consoles, PC, and VR platforms, including Jurassic World: Aftermath, Transformers: Battlegrounds, Islanders, PHOGS!, and Kingdom Two Crowns, and has provided third party developer support for titles including Batman Arkham Shadow, and Gang Beasts.
In the past month, Coatsink has expanded its portfolio with the relaxing city builder Islanders: New Shores, and work continues on a slate of current and upcoming projects, with more announcements planned in the months ahead.
