Prepare to enter the world of StarRupture for the first time!
Warsaw, Poland - July 14, 2025 — Creepy Jar, the Polish studio behind the critically acclaimed survival simulator, Green Hell, is thrilled to announce the first closed playtest for their upcoming sci-fi survival title, StarRupture. Running from July 29th to July 31st, this single-player playtest offers the first exciting taste of StarRupture gameplay, and players can now apply for access via Steam.
Featuring exciting single-player content, including a free roam option, the StarRupture playtest puts players firmly into the treacherous world of Arcadia-7. While StarRupture is a co-op game at heart, where up to four players work together, the developers also want to ensure that the game is exhilarating and engaging for those who play solo. This playtest introduces players to the core tenets of StarRupture, encompassing base building, exploration, survival, and combat. StarRupture's character progression involves gaining experience and unlocking new mods, and the corporation progression unlocks new buildings to help expand your operation. Combat is a significant part of StarRupture, as well, and players will be able to customize their weapons to best fit their playstyle and boost their chances at survival.
In StarRupture, you are a prisoner serving your sentence on a faraway planet where danger lurks at every turn. Tasked with building a factory and gathering resources for global corporations that don't care if you live or die, not only will you have to defend your base from bloodthirsty enemies, but so will you have to prepare for your most terrifying threat; the planet's very own life-giving—and taking—star, Ruptura.
Featuring an electrifying mix of base building, exploration, combat, mystery, and survival, StarRupture is an out-of-this-world experience that is launching in Steam Early Access this Fall.
