Bond 25 just suffered a series blow when they lost director Danny Boyle over some creative differences,  but it sounds like things are back on track; Cary Fukunaga, who was almost the director and writer of the smash horror hit, IT, just got tapped to direct.

It will be interesting to see how this pairing will mesh, although Beasts of No Nation had some crazy action in it. According to reports (and common sense) producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli met numerous candidates after Boyle dropped out due to that Hollywood blanket excuse, "creative differences".  It looks like they have their man now, and the fast hire makes it look like Bond won't miss the projected 2019 release date.

Besides writing and directing Beasts of No Nation on Netflix, which got rave reviews, Fukunaga has directed Jane Eyre, among other films, which is apparently what Wilson and Broccoli are looking for, since they praised Fukunaga’s "versatility and innovation," which are good things to have in a new Bond flick.

No details on the plot have been confirmed yet, and the production leading up to this has been a bit of a mess. Here's hoping that Bond's latest adventure lives up to the high bar set by the last three.
