San Francisco, California - March 30, 2026 — Today, developer Uncommon Games invites everyone to step into a vibrant, living world as Animalkind officially launches in Early Access on PC via Steam. Following a successful demo and its recent release date reveal at The MIX x Kinda Funny Showcase, the world of Animalkind is now open for decoration, and a crew of four-legged heroes can begin building their own thriving animal communities today.
In Animalkind, you'll step into the paws of adorable animal heroes piloting ancient mechs across a vibrant, post-paw-calyptic wilderness. Whether playing solo or with up to three friends in online co-op, players will gather resources, explore dynamic biomes, recruit charming townsfolk, and build a thriving community from the ground up. Blending relaxing town-building with playful multiplayer chaos, Animalkind offers a world where corgis, cats, and raccoons wield industrial-grade opposable thumbs to shape their future, one mech-powered adventure at a time.
At its heart, Animalkind blends lighthearted storytelling with player-driven creativity and furry chaos, offering a world filled with quirky characters, environmental storytelling, heartfelt moments, and even some mysteries to uncover. The development team includes veteran games writer and narrative designer Kelsey Beachum (Outer Wilds, Avowed, Dying Light 2), whose work has helped shape the tone and charm of Animalkind's setting, giving our cute four-legged friends and their mechs more than just a place to build, but a world to connect with.
