Players investigate interconnected rooms, read scattered notes, solve environmental puzzles, and transition between surreal alternate realities where memories and danger intertwine. As the story unfolds, the environment shifts, intensifying tension and revealing the truth behind Yuki's family history.
The game features multiple endings determined by player choices and discoveries, along with optional collectibles that offer deeper insight into the characters and world. With an estimated playtime of 2–3 hours, Locked in My Darkness 2: The Room serves as a direct sequel and the definitive conclusion to the trilogy.
