Evolve Benchmark 13.0 Launches With Media-Driven Workflow Improvements

New update removes key friction points for reviewers and benchmark authors

Breda, The Netherlands
Traverse Research today announced the release of Evolve Benchmark 13.0, a significant update focused on improving the day-to-day workflow of journalists, reviewers, and content creators covering GPU performance.

Over the past year, Evolve has increasingly been used by members of the press to analyze modern graphics workloads, including ray tracing, rasterization, compute, and energy efficiency across desktop and mobile GPUs. During this period, reviewers shared clear, practical feedback on what slowed them down when using benchmarking tools.

Evolve 13.0 is a direct response to that feedback.

Designed Around How Reviewers Actually Work

Two issues came up repeatedly in conversations with journalists and influencers:
reviewing previous benchmark runs was cumbersome, and exporting data required command-line usage.

Evolve 13.0 addresses both with new, media-focused features.

Benchmark History
A new Benchmark History screen allows users to instantly access previous submissions from the start screen. Each entry shows submission date, GPU name, and category scores, with direct links to detailed online results.

Benchmark Speed Control
Custom benchmark runs now support adjustable playback speeds of 1x, 2x, or 4x. At 4x speed, a full benchmark completes in approximately one minute, making iteration and exploratory testing significantly faster. Official benchmark runs remain locked to 1x speed to preserve fair comparison.

Export Benchmark Results Without the Command Line

Benchmark results can now be exported as a zip file directly from the user interface. Previously, this was only possible via command-line tools. This export feature is available in the Advanced and Professional editions and is designed specifically to support editorial workflows.

Additional Improvements in 13.0

• Added lower render resolutions for custom runs: 640x360, 854x480, and 960x540
• Fixed shadow rendering issues on Intel GPUs
• Resolved loading screen logo scaling issues

Built for Modern GPU Coverage

Evolve is a modern benchmarking suite designed to evaluate contemporary graphics workloads using native ray tracing and advanced rendering techniques. It provides seven core performance scores, including ray tracing, rasterization, compute, driver behavior, acceleration structures, workgraphs, and energy consumption.

The benchmark supports both desktop and mobile GPUs and is built to evolve alongside real-world graphics technology rather than relying on static, outdated test scenes.

Free Demo Available on Steam
