New physical and digital versions of the Legendary RPG are available

Paris, France - December 9, 2025 – In association with Square Enix, Red Art Games is delighted to announce that Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International is out now on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5 (PS5®) and PlayStation®4 (PS4®) in North America and Europe. Published by Red Art Games in Europe and North America both digitally and physically, Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International features French, German, Italian and Spanish localizations for the first time. This release is based on the 2022 Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered by Square Enix, which added numerous technical and gameplay improvements to the legendary PlayStation 2 original (English and Japanese languages are also included).

This new version of Square Enix's RPG also allows players to experience its adventure with either the original Japanese or English voices and fixes a number of minor bugs. More information about Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International is available below.

In parallel with its digital release, North American and European players can also get their hands on totally new physical editions of the International version of the seminal RPG. Designed with deep reverence for the SaGa franchise, Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International's physical editions pay tribute to previous SaGa releases.

The game's Standard Edition, which is now available from multiple retailers in Europe and North America, is joined by two limited editions that can still be ordered from Red Art Games' official online store (PEGI-rated versions) and VGP (ESRB-rated versions).

About Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International

The gods created man and man created stories. The primordial creator Marda brought forth the land of Mardias. In ages past a mighty battle rocked this land, when Elore, the king of the gods, fought three malicious deities: Death, Saruin and Schirach. After a long and drawn-out struggle, Death and Schirach were sealed away and rendered powerless, with the final deity Saruin also trapped through the power of the Fatestones and the noble sacrifice of the hero Mirsa.

Now 1,000 years have passed since that titanic battle. The Fatestones lie scattered across the world and the gods of evil are resurgent once more. Eight heroes set off on their own journeys, as if guided by the hand of fate. What tales will these adventurers weave across the vast tapestry of Mardias? You are the only one who can decide!

The original Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- was a full 3D remake of the 1991 Super Famicom game, Romancing SaGa. It included many of the SaGa series trademark elements, such as the Glimmer and Combo mechanics and was considered to be the epitome of the series when it first released. The free scenario system that lets you create your own storyline remains at the core of the game, letting you select one of eight protagonists with completely different origins and backstories, then set off on a unique journey. A remastered edition, originally released in 2022, has evolved in all areas, featuring upgraded HD graphics and numerous enhancements to improve playability. For the first time ever with the new International edition, the game is fully playable in French, German, Italian and Spanish. This makes it highly recommended for both fans of the original and newcomers to the SaGa franchise.

Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International is sold separately to the 2022 digital release of Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered. Players wishing to experience localized French, German, Italian and Spanish languages will be required to purchase Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International either physically or digitally. Please also note that save data is not shared between the 2022 version and the International version.
