CHONGQING, CHINA – October 29th, 2025 – Logoi Games and Pathea Games are delighted to announce the launch of Superball, a free-to-play multiplayer hero sports ball game, shadow dropped during today's ID@Xbox x IGN Showcase and now available worldwide on Steam, Windows Store, Xbox Series X|S|One, and Xbox Game Pass.
Superball (formerly known as Super Buckyball Tournament) transforms the pitch into a futuristic arcade-style street football arena where teams of uniquely-powered heroes clash in fast-paced 3v3 matches. With intuitive controls and a high skill ceiling, players unleash explosive abilities, pull off clutch outplays, and dominate stunning cyberpunk-themed stadiums in intense online competition. Every five-minute match bursts with nonstop action, teamwork, and timing. Players can freeze opponents in their tracks, throw up a heavy shield to block a sure goal, or teleport past defenders with lightning-fast speed for a clear shot. Mastering team synergy, predicting enemy cooldowns, and executing coordinated pushes turn ordinary plays into highlight-reel moments. With evolving team play and a colorful cast of heroes, Superball makes every match feel fresh, exciting, and new.

Beyond standard 3v3 football, Superball offers a variety of exciting modes: Slam Dunk, Dodgeball, Icebreaker and Divine Path. Casual modes that let players experiment with strategies, discover new ways to use their heroes, and keep the action fresh.
Launch Events
Superball launches packed with rewards. Sixteen heroes are free to play for 72 hours from sign-up, and on Day 2 players receive a voucher to unlock any hero through a reward track. The Season 1 Pass: Wild Journey features both a free track with unlockable items and a premium track with additional cosmetics, bonuses, and exclusive rewards. Across all platforms—Steam, Xbox, Windows Store, and WeGame—players also receive a Welcome Letter containing 20 Lucky Cards, which can be redeemed via the delivery service for skins and other in-game items.
Background Story
Formerly known as Super Buckyball Tournament, the story of Superball sets in a non-distant future where cybernetics, genetic manipulation, and body manipulation technology allowed humans to be more powerful as well as more distinct. As a sport exclusively designed for enhanced humans, Superball allowed heroes from different societies and backgrounds to compete on the field. The tournament arena has been introduced since then, as a cross-border, international league with teams from around the world.
The game was initially announced back in April 2019 by Chinese independent studio Pathea Games, known for their My Time franchise, including My Time at Portia, My Time at Sandrock and upcoming smash hit Evershine. In November 2020, Pathea Games launched Super Buckyball Tournament Preseason, a trial version for Super Buckyball Tournament. It was well received with over 120K downloads and 86% positive reviews over the course of 2 weeks.
