Concubine Now on Steam Early Access: Dark Fantasy ARPG

Upgrade Entertainment today announced the Early Access launch of Concubine, a dark-fantasy hack-and-slash ARPG set in medieval Istanbul. Players live undercover as a concubine by day and facing an ancient evil that haunted Ottoman and Byzantine empires, inspired by Asia Minor myths across iconic landmarks and hidden routes of the historic city.

Designed around responsive combat, party building (with up to three companions), and deep character customization, Concubine lets players shape a distinct heroine and fighting style through extensive face and body sliders, weapon swapping, special abilities, and cosmetic outfitting.

Early Access focuses on core combat loops, replayable encounters, and progression systems, with regular content and systems updates planned on the public roadmap. A 13-language UI/localization update is planned shortly after launch to broaden accessibility for global players.

Key Features

  • Fast, readable combat with weapon swapping and special abilities

  • Build a party of up to three companions to complement your playstyle

  • Deep face & body sliders with extensive cosmetic outfitting

  • Boss encounters inspired by Asia Minor mythology across medieval Istanbul

  • Sensual tone with no explicit sexual content

  • 13-language UI/localization update planned post-launch
