Shape of Dreams Surpasses 500,000 Copies Sold, New Patch Available Thursday
New patch coming October 2 improves difficulty pacing to create quicker runs and a more rewarding experience for players
South Korea – September 30, 2025 – A few weeks after its release on Steam, NEOWIZ announced today that the action roguelite game Shape of Dreams, developed by Lizard Smoothie, has surpassed 500,000 copies in cumulative global sales.
This remarkable achievement is another accolade in just two weeks since the game's release on Thursday, Sept. 11. Following its initial sales of 300,000 copies within a week, the title has continued its momentum, selling an additional 200,000 copies since then. The game has proven its global popularity, with sales consistently strong in Asian countries like Korea, China, and Japan, as well as major Western countries like the United States, Canada, Germany, and France.
To celebrate surpassing over 500,000 downloads, all users who log in to the game and enter a coupon code by Sunday, Oct. 12 will receive the Trinket of Nobility, a virtual ornament for your Traveler. The coupon code can be found on the official Shape of Dreams Steam channel.
Additionally, on Thursday, Oct. 2, a new patch will be issued for the game, featuring adjustments to the difficulty scaling to create a more rewarding experience for players. Game balance adjustments are also planned to enhance stability and combat immersion. Lizard Smoothie plans to significantly improve the quality of life, including adding game dropout compensation and a cutscene skip feature based on active user feedback.
