Beat the Heat with a Walrus, Some Magic Mittens, and Frozen Penguins
Göteborg, Sweden – July 15, 2025 – Now you're thinking with penguins! Neckbolt and Burning Planet are proud to announce their upcoming title Let's Freeze Some Penguins for the Nintendo Switch. It's a cozy block-pushing game set north of the Arctic Circle, in the wintry wonderland Northern Bear. Walnut the Walrus has a little magic in his mittens, and can freeze hapless penguins into slippery ice-blocks, which he can then slide around to build bridges and stairs. It's time to save Northern Bear from the dreaded Emperor Penguin!
"I'm sorry I depicted penguins as bad guys here," laughs developer Niklas Hallin. "In real life penguins are very likeable and worthy of praise! But a difficult thing about puzzle games is that you can so easily make a wrong move and lock yourself into a corner. Here, with all these penguins, you can simply create new blocks and keep going!"
Let's Freeze Some Penguins releases on the Nintendo Switch later this year. It can be a wholesome and comical game for parents to play together with young children, or something for anyone to enjoy when they want to chill. It's localized into several languages.
The developer guarantees that no generative AI has been used in the production of this game.
Let's Freeze some Penguins is already available for wishlisting on Steam -- and you can play the demo now. The full game PC release is planned for September 2025.
