REYKJAVÍK, Iceland – July 1, 2025 – Today Aldin Dynamics announced that its epic wizard simulator game, Waltz of the Wizard, is coming to mobile devices for the very first time, releasing on iOS smartphones and tablets this fall. With nearly one million units sold across all platforms since it first launched in 2019, Waltz of the Wizard is a delightful game made popular by Skully – a unique companion character with thousands of reactions to what you say and do. The mobile version will include the complete game experience, plus brand-new features, a reimagined interface, and natural touch controls designed specifically for mobile.
That’s not all! The iOS launch will coincide with new content for all players when the “Skully’s Fantastic Fails” update arrives same-day on Steam, PlayStation, Meta Quest and iOS this fall!
The iOS debut of Waltz of the Wizard will bring the full game to iPhone and iPad for the first time with new content, a rebuilt touch interface, naturally intuitive gestures with unique interactions, and accessible, responsive controls designed to be playable with one hand! Enjoy hours of magical gameplay, brought to life on iOS with stunning visuals, high-quality textures, post-processing effects, and more. And, of course, more hilarious interactions with your strange skull sidekick – Skully!
The iOS release of Waltz of the Wizard will also feature the new, mobile-exclusive “Reality Mode,” letting users interact with objects and Skully in AR as if they were physically in the game. Reach beyond the screen with your hand and see it become an interactive part of the game!
On the same day as its iOS release, Waltz of the Wizard will also receive the free “Skully’s Fantastic Fails” content update across all platforms — including iOS, Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, and Meta Quest. Explore the Courtyard with Skully for the first time, including hundreds of new reactions and voicelines, and experiment with a totally new rocket launch section with explosive results! The update will also feature a range of new character reactions in the Tower, as well as a fully redesigned menu with a detailed in-game Waltz Codex filled with information, encouraging players to discover new activities and hidden interactions.
