Now this is some good news. Despite the problems I had with Season 2 of Daredevil, I've always loved and praised the combat and the look of the show. That guy just knows how to put a scene together. Now that Matthew Lloyd is officially the cinematographer, it's time to ask an important question. What exactly is a cinematographer?
Well, according to wikipedia.com, a "cinematographer or director of photography is the chief over the camera and light crews working on a film, television production or other live action piece and is responsible for making artistic and technical decisions related to the image."
Now that we have that cleared up, lets talk Spider-Man. The sequel (doubt it's going to be called Spider-Man: Homecoming 2), is re-teaming star Tom Holland and director Jon Watts, which is always a good sign. Also, two of the six original writers will be returning as well. There isn't a lot of news thus far about the plot, but I did find a couple of quotes from Kevin Feige and producer, Amy Pascal, regarding where the story should go, especially after the events of Infinity War, due out later this year.
“What I think we should focus on is this Spider-Man who started in Civil War and then has this movie [Homecoming], and then will be in the Avengers movie. And we are starting now the next one which will start a few minutes after Avengers 4 wraps as a story,” said Pascal
Kevin Feige had his own views on the web-slinging sequel, saying, “Like how the events of Captain America: Civil War impacted Peter as he was dropped off by Tony and expected to go back to continue his sophomore year, how the hell are the events of Infinity War and Untitled [Avengers] going to affect him as he, yes, goes back to his junior year?”
The next Spider-Man flick is out on July 5, 2019.
