I don't care who you are, if you don't like a good dog fight, I probably don't want to be your friend and you are most likely a dullard or a fool. And no, I'm not talking about trash-bag Michael Vick dog-fights, I'm talking jets in the air, bogey on my tail, try a somersault!, I can't shake em'!, dog fights. And if those jets can turn into mechs and then beat the robotic piss out of each other, even better.

These Mechs (or Mechas, to be correct) are the name of the game in Project Nimbus: Complete Edition which is headed to the Switch in May. The high-speed dogfights in mech-based ‘Battle Frames’ are all inspired by the Gundam, Macross and Ace Combat series, and you'll pilot and battle it out over floating cities, vast oceans, and the far reaches of outer space, which looks as cool as it sounds (check out the trailer below). There are a gang of Battle Frames (mechas) to choose from, and they are all fully loaded with missiles, energy blades, psycho-drones, particle cannons and a bunch more.

Set in a futuristic version of Earth, three factions fight for what's left of the planet by fighting each other with Battle Frames. There are two new modes in addition to the original content for this release: an improved Survival mode and an all new mode called Warfront. In Survival, players fight endless waves of enemies to get the best score they can, and in Warfront, there are objective-based missions to play, requiring players to survive against infinite odds in a never-ending assault.

Project Nimbus: Complete Edition arrives May 16th.
