Ubisoft announced that Starlink: Battle for Atlas is getting a big ol' content update centered on the sudden appearance of the Crimson Moon in the Atlas star system. If you haven't gotten down on this interstellar extravaganza, in Starlink: Battle for Atlas, you’re part of a group of space pilots, dedicated to saving the Atlas star system from the forgotten legion. What's the deal with the forgotten legion? Nothing good. The FL are an evil robot force, who are, you guessed it, up to no good, with evil ideas about the planet and little love for heroic space pilots, aka, you.

The cool thing about Starlink: Battle for Atlas is the ability to build your own Starship model, mount it on your controller, and then take that bad boy out for some epic space combat. When you equip your model with different parts, your Starship changes in game in real time. You'll assemble your fleet, then mix and match your pilots, starships and weapons to create your own playstyle. It's a pretty slick system that offers up a bunch of replay value.

As part of the free update, players can explore the Crimson Moon, which is the theater of the Outlaw Games. You can compete in all-new single-player and two-player split-screen racing tracks, fight waves of enemies in the Crimson Coliseum and see their rank and stats on leaderboards, cuz we know how youse kids like those leader boards. The Crimson Moon will also impact the entire world of Atlas and let players engage with new faction story missions and weekly challenges, plus you can expand your roster and play through the new Crimson Moon content with five new pilots, three new starships and eleven new weapons available separately, which of course you have to buy.

The new Crimson Moon content will also be included in the  PC version of the game, releasing the same day, April 30, 2019.
