Iceberg Interactive and Luminous just announced that their real-time strategy game, Circle Empires is getting a massive content update today. The update is free and adds new units, buildings and locations, in addition to full Linux support later on this month.

If you haven't checked it out yet, the gameplay has players trying to conquer a procedurally generated world made up of interconnected circles (check out the trailer below to see it in action). The content update adds a brand new unit, called Hammermen, and leaders will now have workers of their respective species, so if you begin the game as, say, Puck the Pumpkin King, you will have pumpkin workers, and zombies will now also function as workers.

In addition, new buildings will spawn dragons and wizards and there will be more circle types to conquer, as two new biome variations have been added: Dragon Lairs and Wizard Studies, and all new, rare biome variations with large armies of hostile units are also added in this update. The game's difficulty has been increased for Easy and Normal mode, with both having more monsters to fight. Also, if you speak Korean, you're in luck with this update, since we're getting Korean localization, plus some bug fixes, leader balancing and UI improvements.

The new update for Circle Empires is live now, and you can grab your own copy on Steam for $7.99.
