Hand of Fate 2, the upcoming action RPG from Defiant Development, is hitting the Switch on July 17, 2018, and some of you should be pumped; like, 2.5 million of you. That's how many downloads the original title has since 2015.
In Hand of Fate 2, you'll be collecting cards to build a customizable deck of equipment, enemies, encounters and loot, in addition to surprises (both helpful and nasty) that will be shuffled in with the dealer challenges. Once you get your deck together, cards are laid out on a dungeon floor, and each card presents various obstacles to overcome, including hack-and-slash combat,exploration, minigames and Dungeons and Dragons style story-telling.
The sequel is attempting to upgrade the original in every way, with new additions like an overworld map, new tabletop minigames, companions with unique side-quests that provide assistance in battle, upgraded combat, a deeper story and more. The Switch version will also include all the DLC and add-ons that have appeared in the PC release from its November launch through April, with more content set for release post-launch.
Morgan Jaffit, the director of defiant development had this to day about the upcoming Switch release: "We’ve been careful not to tip our hand about this news until now, but our team is thrilled to finally announce Hand of Fate 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch. We are very much looking forward to seeing fans having the opportunity to take the game on the go with this exciting new platform.”
