Last Gen Consoles To Get One Last Minecraft Update

It might finally be time to upgrade your consoles, Minecraft lovers; the next update, titled "Update Aquatic" will be the last for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PS Vita. All future updates will not be compatible for the aforementioned systems. 

For those of you who somehow don't know, Minecraft is a game that focuses on creatively building pretty much whatever you want, with the game world comprised of 3D objects, mainly made up of cubes, which represent dirt, stone, ore, trees, water, lava etc. You pick up and place these various objects to make a 3D structures, from boats to castles to whatever your imagination can come up with. 


According to the stats, only 5% or so of active players game on these consoles, so unsurprisingly the devs have decided to put their time and money into the PS4 and PC versions, where the bulk of builders are playing. Xbox One and Switch versions of the older game won't get the new update either, but only because they can upgrade to the newest version Those of you with an Xbox One can download the upgraded version of Minecraft from the Microsoft Store for free, while gamers who create on the Switch will get a free patch.
