Far Cry 5 is the latest installment of the long running series from Ubisoft, and the subject material is grittier than ever, evidenced by this live action trailer. Switching out the jungle religion weirdness for, uh, a different kind of religious weirdness, Far Cry 5's story focuses on the fictional Hope County, where a preacher named Joseph Seed has risen to power. He believes that he's been chosen to protect the people of Hope County from an "inevitable collapse" and has established a following called Eden's Gate. Unfortunately, this is less of a religion and more of a doomsday cult. Ain't that always how it goes?
You are the new sheriff's deputy who is about to have a really bad day, sent to Hope County to arrest the false priest. I'm not positive what happens next, but I gotta assume it involves a lot of headshots. Praise the Lord!
