Electronic Arts Inc. and the Swedish studio Zoink Games just announced that Fe, their seamless narrative exploration adventure game is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Origin for PC.
The game's protagonist, the animalistic Fe, can run, climb, and glide through the Nordic forest setting, striving to uncover the secrets of her origin while protecting the ecosystem from menacing machines called the Silent Ones. As Fe explores the land, she must learn to speak the language of the forest by singing in-tune with plants and animals, each offering a unique gameplay benefit that will help her along the journey.
“In Fe, sounds connect every living thing in the diverse ecosystem,” said Klaus Lyngeled, CEO and Creative Lead at Zoink Games. “The forest holds a multitude of secrets to be uncovered by connecting with the flora and fauna. As a wordless experience, the entire story is up for the players’ own interpretation as they move through the forest at their own pace. Fe will search through ancient ruins, hidden artifacts and secret places, acquiring new songs and powers. Each experience offers a hand-crafted short story, as Fe pieces together the mysteries of her past.
