JRPG,

Lost Sphear is the newest JRPG from Tokyo RPG Factory and, if you can believe the hype, Lost Sphear is going to continue "Tokyo’s dedication to blending the nostalgia of classic Japanese role-playing games with the latest technology for a new generation of gamers." Sounds good to me. The game will feature an enhanced gameplay system with a revamped ATB (Active Time Battle) system, which is supposed to offer up more freedom in combat, seamless environments, and a multitude of locations to explore.

Players begin their adventure in a remote town where a young boy, Kanata, awakens from a devastating dream to find his hometown disappearing. To stop the world from being lost forever, Kanata and his comrades set out to rebuild the world around them with the power of Memory, by manifesting thoughts into matter and restoring what was lost, which sounds pretty awesome, to be honest. It's a rather novel idea, since you are the only one that remembers how things were, you are the hero that must make sense of the all encompassing mist, and set locations and objects back in their place.

The title features re-imagined turn-based battles, mechanized Vulcosuit armor which amplifies your abilities and lets you execute unique skills, and a hefty story line just like all the best RPGs do. Lost Sphear is out now for Switch and PS4.
