Insel Games and Nuri Works' new MMO-ARPG, Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan is out now on Steam Early Access.
A "gritty, Sci-Fi hack 'n' slash", WB:HOT lets you choose from a dozen different heroes, from melee specialists, dual bladed assassins to snipers with robotic pet companions, and even video game legends, like Duke Nukem and Serious Sam, which sounds pretty awesome. Not sure if you've noticed, but Duke Nukem has been in a bit of a slump lately. It'd be nice to get a win for a change.
Obviously with those two in the mix, the game promises "tongue in cheek humor", suave finishing lines and the good old fashioned, non-stop violence you've come to expect from these two titans of badassery.
Wild Buster offers a fast paced combat system, unique skills for each hero, and an in-depth crafting system. Each hero has special attacks that you can mix and match, upgrade and swap on the fly, and you have a fast dodge/roll that you can use as long as you have some stamina, which goes down with every roll. The official site has the mission count over 500, between quests and daily missions, plus 22 dungeons with boss battles. For multiplayer, gamers can form teams of five to dominate the evil cyborgs of the Broken, and there's a guild system, raid dungeons, and Squad League for up to 5v5 PVP and PVE co-op or combat. They also say they don't truck with "pay to win" elements, and that's what I'd describe as, "legit".
Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan is available on Steam in three editions, all on a 20% launch discount.
