To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Street Fighter, Capcom just announced Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC, dropping May 2018. The collection packs twelve games in one tidy package but it's not really as exciting as you might think. Here's the role call: Street Fighter (I), Street Fighter II, Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter III, Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact and Street Fighter III: Third Strike

So, although this is a completionist's dream, what are we really talking here? Instead of, what is that? One, two, three, four, FIVE versions of SF:II, couldn't we just get Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, and then some different games that we'd actually play? I mean, have you ever played Street Fighter: I? Pret-ty rough stuff.

One nice thing is the online mode, which is available for Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter III: Third Strike. Lobbies support up to four players and each title will also have their own Global leaderboards and the "rewind" tech ensures low-latency online battles.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will have a simultaneous release in May 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC both digitally and at retail (console versions only).
