How are you feeling on a scale from one to tiny violin?
The first major Early Access update for our music-production tycoon game introduces the World's Tiniest Violin. Yep, that's right, we have strings in the game now! We've also added a reverb pedal, an EQ, effect buses, 11 peculiar new jobs and a box under your desk for hiding all the equipment you don't want to look at right now. There are new ways to arrange your songs, new notebook lessons and even a strange and beautiful new scale to unlock.
To celebrate our first major update, not only are we giving new players the game with a 15% discount but we've released a new music video for 'Pepperoni Pizzicato', composed entirely in OFFBEAT.
Also, just in case you're checking in for the first time, OFFBEAT is a music-tycoon game meets real audio-production tool. Become a jobbing composer using an outré assortment of instruments, including singing garden gnomes, paper shredders and, now, one extremely small violin. Complete peculiar musical briefs, grow your recording studio and export your creations as WAV files. Every track created in OFFBEAT can be exported as a WAV file, and players retain full rights to everything they make, whether they choose to share it, release it commercially or keep it safely hidden from the world.
Now, back to tiny violin & the update:
Alongside the Tiny Violin, the Studio Essentials Update also adds:
A reverb pedal and EQ to bring even more texture to your tracks
11 new jobs, including Cave People Techno, the Museum of Orbs and a self-hypnosis tape
Desk inventory, allowing you to hide your belongings in a box under the desk
Effect buses for sending audio from multiple sources through the same effect chain
New song-editing options that make adding repeats and variants simpler
Dorian mode, a strange and beautiful new scale to unlock
New notebook entries covering effect buses, reverb techniques and a little music theory
A slew of additional fixes and improvements
More instruments, chapters and features are planned for the Early Access period, all culiminating in the 1.0 launch in early 2027.
That's all for the time being, until the next update! Now, if you'll excuse us, we have a very small recital to attend...
