Stockholm, Sweden, December 2nd, 2025 - Announced last month, the Hive Scum have torn their way out of Tertium's criminal underbelly and onto the side of the Imperium... for now. These dual-wielding, toxin-huffing miscreants bring a fighting style that's as dirty as the sumps they crawled out of.
For the first time in Darktide, players can fully dual-wield pistols and shivs, turning close-quarters combat into a whirlwind of steel and firing bursts. Their customizable Stimms let players brew their own dangerous chemical cocktails, while toxin-coated saws, shivs, crowbars, and improvised explosives ensure no fight stays clean for long.
With a talent tree built for chaos, players can tailor their Scum into a darting glass-jawed killer, an explosives-heavy gun rat, or a relentless hybrid glass cannon. They're not just deadly, they're dripping in the raw, lawless underhive aesthetic! Full-body tattoos, gritty hairstyles and the first ever face paints! Darktide recently celebrated its 3 year anniversary, and today's update packs in a new live event, a new mission, and plenty of Aquila to earn.
Introducing No Mans Land: The heretics are mobilizing, vox chatter rumours deep within the hive indicate that they're showing a vested interest in the RTX-590 freight train. Whatever they're up to reeks of doom for mankind and it's up to the rejects to get to the bottom of this... or die trying. The campaign containing an entirely new mission will take players to an unseen location deep within the hive, through mud soaked trenches and illuminated by the hellish glow of distant promethium fires.
Atonement Live Event: The last live event faced players with a grim decision, to distribute or destroy the stolen rations. Starve or survive? With the desperation to reclaim the hive from heresy, a decision was made. One with consequences, players must atone for their sins of distributing poisoned food. In the new live event dropping later this week players must gather atonement from relics and shrines which will appear throughout Tertium. What is risk without reward? Successfully completing this special anniversary event will grant players 500 Aquila alongside other special rewards.
Ogryn Voice Update: Fan favourite Tim Bentinck, known for his role as Victor Saltzpyre in the Vermintide series, lends his voice to a brand-new Ogryn personality! Complete with expanded class-specific voice lines, players will hear new interactions between the Ogryn and each of the other classes, adding even more character to squad banter.
